What's Happening at Glenburnie Public School?
Welcome Back New and Returning Students and Families
We’ve had a wonderful first week of school at Glenburnie, and I want to take a moment to thank everyone for making it such a positive start. Our staff have worked hard to create welcoming and engaging classrooms, our students have shown great energy and enthusiasm for learning, and our families have been supportive in helping us begin the year smoothly. Moving forward, we are excited to build on the strong initiatives already in place and work together to make this school year a great one for all.
At this time of year, it is sometimes necessary for schools to make small adjustments to class organization. If a change does affect your child, you will receive a personal phone call from a staff member next week. Please know that these decisions are made very carefully, always with the best interests of students and the overall school community in mind. We will work closely with families to ensure any transition is as smooth and positive as possible.
A gentle reminder to please return any forms that have been sent home, such as medical information and permissions. In this newsletter, you will also find details on how to sign up for hot lunches, which will begin later this month.
We are always here to partner with you—please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions, ideas, or ways we can support your child.
Hot Lunch Orders
Hot lunch days are back! We are happy to be able to provide the opportunity to order a hot lunch again this year through LunchBox. We will continue with the pizza restaurant, and possibly adjust our options later this term. If you missed out on our first Pizza Day order, you can still set up an account with LunchBox, and order for the hot lunch days to come.
The LunchBox website is very user friendly and it should only take a couple of minutes to set up an account online. If you already have an account, please re-assign your child to the appropriate teacher for this school year. Hot lunch orders will continue to support student activities with a small portion of each sale coming back to our school.
